Best Season To Visit Jim Corbett National Park

The Best Season To Visit Jim Corbett National Park in India depends on your preferences and what you want to experience. The park is open to visitors from mid-November to mid-June, and it is closed during the monsoon season, from mid-June to mid-November.

1. Winter (November to February):

This is considered the best time to visit Jim Corbett National Park. The weather is pleasant, and wildlife sightings are relatively more comfortable due to the sparse vegetation. The temperature ranges from 5°C to 25°C during these months.

2. Summer (March to June):

This period is also a good time to visit if you can handle warmer temperatures. The wildlife is still visible, and the advantage is that the park remains open during these months. The temperature can range from 25°C to 40°C, so it's advisable to carry light clothing and stay hydrated.

3. Monsoon (July to mid-November):

The park is closed during the monsoon season because heavy rainfall can make the terrain challenging and unsafe for visitors. But Jhirna and Dhela Zones remain throughout the whole season. Additionally, the park remains closed during this time ( 10:00 am to 02:00 pm ) for the breeding season of animals.

Keep in mind that during the peak tourist season (November to June), the park can get crowded. If you prefer a quieter experience, you might want to consider visiting during the shoulder seasons, such as early November or late June. However, wildlife sightings may be less frequent during these times due to weather conditions and dense vegetation.
