Sitabani Jeep safari Zone

The Corbett Landscape Zone encompasses the buffer area surrounding the core zones of the park. This region is a vital corridor for wildlife movement and plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance. While safari operations are limited in this zone, it offers a scenic drive with occasional wildlife sightings, including elephants, deer, and various avian species.

Sitabani Zone, located outside the core area of the park, is a serene retreat for those seeking solace in nature. Apart from its spiritual significance, as it is believed to be the site where Goddess Sita entered the earth, Sitabani is known for its diverse birdlife and occasional wildlife sightings. Nature walks and treks in this zone provide an opportunity to immerse oneself in the pristine wilderness and explore the hidden gems of Jim Corbett.

Sitabani tourism zone is open all round the year for safari tours and there is no limit of gypsies entering in the area. Corbett Tiger Reserve Authority does not offer any kind of permit for the entry in to this zone. Sitabani area has become favourite spot for tourists walking because of its elaboration in the Hindu Epic Ramayana. The epic says that wife of Lord Rama - goddess Sita spent some days of her exile in Sitabani jungle. The entire jungle is protected and supervised by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Sitabani forest area is known for its varied variety of flora. This landscape shelters more than 600 species of trees, shrubs, bamboos, herbs grasses, orchids, woody climbers and wetland vegetation. Sal, Sheesham, Kanju, Dhak, Haldu, Peepal, mangoes and Rohini trees are some of the important ever#fa7712 flora of the Sitabani area. Procedure to book safari for Sitabani area - Advance booking is suggested for taking safari rides is Sitabani area. Though, Corbett Tiger Reserve Authority does not offer any kind of permit for the entry in to this zone. Instead, Sitabani Forest Department gives the permission for jeep safari in this region.

Sitabani forest zone of Corbett Park is called landscape area which is best known for nature walks and visiting popular attractions around. Though Sitabani is hard forest area and not under the Corbett Tiger Reserve therefore the rules and regulations of CTR is not applied in this zone.
